Is there a cost for the consultation?
You have two options when making an appointment:
- No consultation fee – Pay just R20 per dress that is fitted OR
- Sparkling wine, cheese and crackers and dresses! … pay just R300 and you get to come and try on 5 dresses whilst having fun with your family and friends at the same time! (one bottle of sparkling wine provided – please let us know if you would like more).

What are your opening hours?
We are open between 10h00 and 17h00 Monday to Friday and Saturday’s until 15h00 (but after hours appointments can be arranged)
You are welcome to come and browse anytime but if you would like to try on dresses and have a consultation an APPOINTMENT is necessary.
How long in advance must I come to discuss my dress?
We recommend about 6 to 8 months before the wedding.
Can I bring my Mom /Bridesmaids / Best friend?
Sure, the more the merrier! But please note we only have seating for up to 5 people in the studio.
How long does it take to make a dress?
It takes roughly 12 weeks once your dress has been ordered from our supplier overseas.
How long in advance should I come if I am going to hire my dress?
When ever suits you best, however you may book to hire your wedding dress 6 months (no earlier) before your wedding.
Do you make to hire?
Yes, we do… but this depends on the dress. Please enquire further.
Do you make / hire Bridesmaids dresses?
YES! We sell JACOBA bridesmaids dresses – a soft, flowy dress either to the knee or floor length… The best part of the Jacoba dress is that each bridesmaid can have a different neckline. I.e: halterneck, boobtube, cap sleeve, one shoulder etc!
Do you make / hire suits?
Unfortunately not.
How does payment work?
If you are having a dress custom made overseas a 50% deposit is required upfront and the balance when the dress arrives.
If the dress is bought off the rail 100% payment is required (although a payment plan can be made if necessary)
When hiring a dress a refundable deposit of R1500 is required when the dress is booked, and then the balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding.
